WEDDING DATE: MAY 14, 2016
I was finishing up on two summer graduate courses and just about to start a new school year at work! I was extremely tired and in need of a vacation. We debated for at least two weeks on going to the beach or Atlanta. Time was winding down and we didn't have any reservations to go anywhere! With his busy schedule and mine, I excepted that fact that we'd just go some where a little later in the year. My mom and my cousins were already in Tennessee visiting my sister so we decided to go there with them...my vacation turned into a family trip! Not quite the get-a-way I had in mind...lol! On the way there I told him I wanted to ride the horse and carriage on Beale Street and he assured me that we would. When we arrived, we met up with my family, walked around Beale Street, visited the museum, and went swimming....but no horse and carriage ride. If you know me, you know I wasn't happy! LOL! Later on that night we decided to go back down to Beale Street. We finally made it there around 11 p.m. The last ride ended at 12, so we ran (well I walked really fast..lol) trying to find it. We went around the the corner and there it was...The last ride of the night! WE MADE IT! We rode around town for a while and took a few pictures (like always..lol) When the ride ended he told everyone to get off...except me. My heart skipped a few beats! lol. He came around and held my hand to help me get off. As I was getting off, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Everyone was cheering us on, my hand was shaking, and my mom had the biggest smile! Of course I said YESS!!!!
