From the Bride:
"For my dream wedding, I always wanted a wedding that was intimate yet still a party. My vision was an outdoor lakeside wedding that was elegant, charming, and romantic. I always loved the look of a romantic garden wedding that was lush with greenery and a candle-lit glow. I wanted something simple and elegant, but for the wedding to still showcase style as well as our personalities. Alvaro and I met at Rollins College, so instantly after we got engaged we thought the Rollins Knowles Chapel would be perfect. I also grew up in Winter Park therefore loved the idea of getting married in my hometown. The thought of getting ready for my wedding day in my childhood home brought ease and comfort.Alvaro and I both love being outdoors. And the fact that Alvaro loves fishing and diving, I knew our wedding should be on some body of water- so Lake Maitland was the perfect match. We really wanted the wedding to feel like “us” and not something too cold or over the top that didn’t show our personalities and who we’ve grown to be together.I made sure our personal stamp was put on every detail. I created a wedding logo to use on our welcome bags, place cards, ceremony programs, and menus to tie everything together. For our cocktail reception, we had mojitos with sugar cane sticks since Alvaro’s family are Cuban and in the sugar cane industry."
