A Note from the Photographer: "There are so many things about being a photographer that I truly love that you would expect- the pretty little details, the dress, the dancing (love the dancing!), the pictures (obviously!)… but there are things about weddings that I just adore that aren’t always so easy to spot… like the friendships Jordon and I make with our couples, the unwavering thank you’s for just being who we are, and the hugs from a bride’s mom at the end of the wedding day. Though the first are fun and enjoyable, it is the latter that makes me love what I get to do. Since Jenifer and Jeremy were a destination couple, Jordon and I didn’t exactly have a chance to meet them beforehand, and my gosh I fell in love with them right away. Jen is loving, and fun, and so kindhearted and we just immediately clicked. Jeremy is dapper, and easy going, and all about making sure his (now wifey) is happy. The day began with the most amazing, non-humid, weather, and could not have been an ounce more perfect the entire day. Not only did I almost unintentionally match the bridesmaids in my eerily matching dress, but all of the parallels that we found throughout the day just resonated with me in my heart so much. I’m a total dork that fully believes that some things happen for a reason, and photographing this wedding was absolutely no exception to that belief. Jen and Jeremy opted for a first look and followed the first look with a private vow reading. As a photographer, I have always been a sucker for first looks (click here to see the full story why), but Jen and Jeremy took it to the next level with their private vow reading. From a distance, I photographed their moment, and though I don’t know the word they exchanged, I didn’t need to. The pictures alone speak to my heart so much- I can only imagine how memorable the moment is for the two of them. The wedding took place beachside at the Postcard Inn, and was one of the most stunningly intimate (and gorgeously attending) weddings I have ever witnessed. (No joke, how was everyone there so stinking gorgeous?!) Jen was seriously the epitome of a #shaunalynnebride and not only adored her totally hunky husband, but absolutely prioritized what truly mattered on her wedding day, which was marrying her best friend and not stressing the little things. Jeremy, I hope you always remember the way that Jen smiles when she looks at you- and how her eyes twinkled your entire wedding night, and Jen, I hope that you always feel the complete adoration that Jeremy has for you, especially on your wedding day. I have witnessed a lot of totally in love couples, but never have I seen a couple who meshed just quite like you."
