Caitlin chose the gorgeous Rosedown Plantation nestled in St. Francisville for her bridal session. She brought along her sister, mother, grandmother, and daughter for the occasion. Rosedown was established in the 1830s and is now a gorgeous 374 acres with a Great House, large live oak trees, and pleasure gardens.
This classic A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline comes from David's Bridal. The satin texture of her dress was the perfect match for Caitlin and Jesse's simple, and rustic themed wedding celebration, and the sweeping train added just enough drama and elegance to the occasion. While they eloped last year, they hosted their large wedding for friends and family in Jena, LA on July 1st, 2017. For the big day, Caitlin added her "something blue" to the dress- a heart made from her late grandfather's shirt, stitched to the back. We love the small details they added to make everything unique and special!
Caitlin's advice to brides: "Enjoy it! Everything will not go exactly as you plan it and that's okay. Don't stress over the little stuff because the only person who will know that it wasn't perfect will be you." Truer words cannot be spoken! Your wedding day will go by quickly, so make sure you take the time to slow down and soak up every moment.
